Buying Your First Home Check List
- Figure out how much you can afford.
- What the monthly payment may look like eg- mortgage payments, taxes , utilities etc
- Understand all your mortgage options- eg- Fixed or Variable rates
- Make sure you have the required downpayment in hand before you make any offers or go house hunting( This is very important)
- Get a mortgage pre approval either with your bank or a mortgage broker
- Identify neighbourhoods you like to live in based on what you can afford
